About Café Des Beaux-Arts

Located at 1 Whitehall Way, Palm Beach, FL 33480, Café Des Beaux-Arts operates as a tea house serving Palm Beach in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (561) 655-2833. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 11 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Palm Beach is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Palm Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Don’t waste your money. Worst tea ever. Poor service and dry and boring sandwiches. The scone and desserts could not have been fresh and had to be store bought. The room is lively but that’s about all.

While the setting is beautiful, the experience was very disappointing. The food, in general, was good, but there was so little of it. I understand it isn't meant to be a complete meal, but there could have been a bit more. The deviled eggs were so good, we asked for a couple more and were told they didn't have any more. How is that possible? There was literally one tablespoon of clotted cream for four of us to share and when we asked for more the server seemed annoyed. Not only was the tea not steeping as it came to the table, it was barely warm. There were three dogs (at two different tables) in the cafe who barked a few times during our tea. Two dogs were sitting on their owners' laps with their water bowls on the table. This was a gift from one of my daughters for me, my mother and my other daughter. Overall, it was not the experience we expected at such a premium price.

This is a must, when visiting the Flagler museum. High tea was great, service awesome, fabulous water views. Of course, this isn't tea at the Corinthia! But we were delighted by the selection for $30!

Beautiful room and views, but disappointing amateurish afternoon tea, as the most crucial and important element, to be served with the scones, is missing. Yes, you guessed it: the clotted cream !!! What's the point to have afternoon tea without clotted cream? Really!!! Also, the acoustic of the room is not prone to a single bad quality speaker, seating randomly on one side, playing distorted opera music. That was totally unnecessary and hurtful to everybody's ears...
